Gower Regeneration Ltd, a community benefit society founded by Gower Power Co-op CIC in partnership with Y Felin Ddwr Charitable Trust (the charitable trust that owns the ever popular Gower Heritage Centre), has built a £1m solar farm in Dunvant and is launching a public share offer to put the project into community ownership.
The launch event will give you the opportunity to find out more about the project which is offering a projected 5% annual rate of interest to anyone who wishes to invest. All profits, thereafter, will be used for regenerating the local area by supporting land-based livelihoods, and building education and skills in order to make the rural economy more vibrant and sustainable.
The scheme is aiming to raise over 500k and up to £1.085m towards development and construction costs and make you, the community, the solar farm’s owners.
Details of the launch event are as follows:
- Date: Friday 12 May 2017
- Time: 7 pm-9 pm
- Venue: Gower Heritage Centre, Swansea
