CARE (Cwm Arian Renewable Energy) is a community benefit society which is currently seeking planning permission for 1 x 500kW community owned wind turbine, which will generate clean energy for at least 20 years (not to mention the £4million of sustained community funding!!), on a site near the village of Llanfyrnach, in North Pembrokeshire.
It’s likely that Pembrokeshire County Council will decide on this application in October – and the more letters of support they see to help them decide in favour of this project, the better.
If you support CARE’s aims of giving all the profits from the sale of clean energy to local people, enterprises and projects; if you support the concept of community-owned renewable energy… then please take a moment to click the link below, and attach your letter of support – even just a few words will make all the difference!
Whether you’re an individual or a family, or a representative of a community group, business or committee – and wherever you live – please write. Your support could help this project get permission and start generating an income for people living in rural villages in Pembrokeshire.
Attached is the letter from Community Energy Wales, outlining our support for the project.
Also attached is a template letter, which can be used to create a letter of support.
