The role of Community Energy in a changing energy system
Join Regen and Community Energy England (CEE) on 1 June 2017, from 12.30pm to 5.30pm at the Fazeley Studios in Birmingham for a free event which aims at exploring the rapid transition to a decentralised and flexible energy system.
Opportunities for community energy groups to play a leading role, engaging their communities and developing new models in areas such as local supply and storage will be discussed.
The inspiring speakers include CEE director, Robert Rabinowitz, who will be speaking about adapting to policy changes and engaging with government. You can also hear from Western Power Distribution on the latest innovative projects involving communities, including electric vehicles.
Regen will be talking about new business models for local supply and storage, and Chase Community Solar will share inspiring news about how they are joining up their community energy work with healthcare providers to keep people out of A&E.
